Curious Leah

Leah's only two months old, so she still doesn't have frequent photo-worthy moments. As a co-worker phrased it, she's still in the blob stage. However, Leah is an intensely curious blob. As long as she's awake, she's looking at something. Sometimes she looks around serenely, and other times she strains to get the best view possible of whatever she's looking at, even if it's just a wall or ceiling. She does seem to get bored inside, and when I take her for a walk outside, she turns her head from side to side and darts her eyes in every direction.

Anyway, we've posted a bunch of pictures of Karen, Leah, and me in our Mountain View album. To conserve space, the images in this album have been reduced in size. For anyone who might be planning on making prints (i.e., Leah's Grandma), please let us know what picture you want, and we can send you a full-sized image.

    She's looking so much older! It looks like she's moving from the fragile/newborn skin phase to the soft/baby skin phase (those are some early phases that I have noticed with babies). I can't wait to see her in August.

End of February

How can today be the last day of February already?  It still feels like the year just started. Andrew had his birthday. Yay for getting older! Life can only get better, right? We have a tradition of getting together with Ken and Jen (my old roommate and her man) to eat at Tucanos. Tucanos has a "Birthday Club," which means that if you sign up, they'll send you a paper for a free meal. It's on the pricier side to eat there, so I'm a fan of the "Birthday Club." We started this tradition back when we were dating because Andrew and Ken both have birthdays in February. We met up with Ken, Jen, Tyler, and Linda for our annual February Tacanos dinner on Friday night. Leah was really tired, so we didn't do anything afterward. We had scheduled it for two weeks earlier, but I ended up feeling really sick the night before and didn't get much sleep. I was not in the mood to eat anything, so we postponed. I thought I should share a few pictures on the ol' blog. A special thanks to pinterest for the brilliant idea of putting papers in sheet protectors for kids to trace. Leah has already dried out one expo marker since this morning. I'm going to need to limit how much she can play with it. I didn't want her to just scribble everywhere like she does with coloring books. So this morning I sat down and started tracing letters myself. She's a jealous soul when I don't invite her to play with me. It worked like a charm.
