Stewart Falls

A few weeks ago, Karen and I decided to go on a hike. To make it a little more spontaneous, I kept the destination a surprise. We sure are adventurous. Anyway, Karen and I had hiked to Stewart Falls from Aspen Grove a few years ago, and I recently learned that there is an alternate trail to the falls that starts from Sundance. From the parking lot of the ski resort, we hiked up the bunny slope and found the head of the trail. Leah enjoyed leading the action:
With 3/4 mile left to go, the falls came into view, and Karen commented that they looked strangely familiar even though she was certain she had never been there before:
After 30 more minutes of false deja vu, we arrived, and Karen figured out where we were:
We have now taken Leah on a number of hikes, and every time we come across running water she is enchanted by it:
I think she gets it from her mom.
