Leah's Favorite Toy
I wanted to find a toy that would help Leah learn how to walk. I think it's a winner. Here's a video of Leah having a good time. I'd say that it's her favorite toy.
Leah's second-favorite toy is her octopus bath toy. She drags it around all the time. For some reason the other sea creatures that came with it don't seem to be as cool as that octopus.
She's been standing all by herself for the past two weeks or so, but usually only for a very short period of time. Now that she's getting better at it, I managed to get a few pictures.
Linda and I spent a day visiting Katie. Here's a picture of Brynlee and Leah chilling on the couch. I think it's fun to compare them because they're only four days apart.
Katie pointed out that Leah's head is much smaller than Brynlee's. I wouldn't notice that my kid's funny-looking without somebody pointing it out. Love doesn't see faults. Thanks Katie!
I really shouldn't be surprised though. At Leah's last appointment, Leah was really close to average on her weight, a little above average on her height, and below average on her head size. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that said appointment was only a week after I had to take her in for this terrible rash that I think was an allergic reaction to egg. The cream the doctor gave me was amazing though. I put it on her when we got home, put her down for a nap, and half of it was gone by the time she woke up. I didn't even need to apply it again. Good stuff. This is a picture of the rash at its worst.

ReplyDeleteWhat!? I totally wasn't pointing out a fault! I just thought it was funny when I looked at the picture to see their heads are so different in size even though I'd never noticed it in person. No worries, Brynlee's head is definitely larger than average. I don't know why but my kids tend to be short, chubby and have big heads. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, Katie. I know Leah's head size is not a fault. I just thought it would be fun to tease you. I didn't notice their heads are so different in size in person either. But now when I look at that picture all I can see is Brynlee's big head and Leah's small head. They both look normal when they're not next to each other. I just looked at Leah's paper, and her head size is actually at the 25th percentile. I guess I remembered wrong when I wrote the blog. It's so weird because three months earlier her head was barely under the 50th percentile.
