Day at the Museum

When Memorial Day came around, we still didn't have any exciting plans, so Karen and I decided to go to the dinosaur museum (the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point). We had been there before, so we knew we wouldn't be too disappointed if Leah were a pill. Fortunately, she was pretty well behaved, and we were actually able to look at many of the exhibits.
Leah enjoyed it, too. Her favorite activity was walking through a little cave-styled tunnel for toddlers (and the occasional awkward 10-year-old). She must have gone through it about 30 times. Whenever we tried to go to the next exhibit, she would escape from us, turn around, and run back to the tunnel.

The museum had an interesting hands-on archeology exhibit, where kids collect magnetic puzzle pieces of bones and arrange them into dinosaur skeletons on a big steel wall. I'm not sure whether Karen or Leah had more fun.
And since Leah is in a climbing phase, she had a lot of fun playing on a dinosaur statue. This picture makes it look like she was posing for a portrait, but the numerous outtakes make it clear that she was just climbing. Fortunately, we avoided any serious injuries.
