No Nudists Here ;)
Is it September already? Time to update the blog. I'll try to remember everything that's been going on here.
A while back I went to the Veteran's Pool with Katie and the kids. I didn't bring my camera, but I stole pictures off of Katie's blog because they was so cute.
Andrew finished teaching his summer class, so we decided to celebrate by going on a hike. I searched for hikes that we haven't already done, and found one up Spanish Fork Canyon. I found Fifth Water Hot Springs. It takes a lot of time to do but isn't too steep. It's a pleasant hike that's largely in the shade and leads to two waterfalls, which cascade into hot springs. How cool is that? We didn't actually get in the water, though I hear a lot of people enjoy it. (The smell of sulfuric water just doesn't appeal to me.) I was somewhat hesitant to do this hike because I had read that some enthusiasts like to wade in the nude. But the hike sounded so cool that I accepted the small likelihood of that happening, figuring it would just be awkward if it happened and we'd deal with it. Not only were there no naked people, we were the only ones there. Yay! Alas, I forgot to pack the camera, so we don't have any pictures to share. On the bright side, I packed plenty of food. Food is more important on a hike anyway.
I'm glad we went on that hike; it let out some energy. The gym I go to closed for two weeks. Maintenance. Not sure what they need to do for maintenance, but that's the excuse they're giving. Only four more days until it opens again. In the meantime I've been going crazy. Going to the park with Leah just doesn't use up enough of my energy.
Talking about working out, Andrew has slowly gotten more and more interested in biking. We bought our bikes about two years ago, and he's gotten faster, and his endurance is much higher than it used to be. His legs are a lot more muscular than they used to be too. He has been training for a 50 mile bike ride! Ok, so he's only doing it because the scouts in our ward are doing it and they asked him to join the group. Andrew's not worried about the distance because it will be mainly level terrain. I'm impressed even if he isn't.

Glad to hear you are doing well. I want Ken to go for a hike with me to somewhere cool around here before it gets too cold, but it's not really his thing. Maybe we can plan a double date and rope him into it! Miss you guys!!!
