Bash
We recently got back from our trip to Illinois. We were supposed to spend part of the time in Indiana for the Bash (family reunion), and the rest in Illinois to visit Andrew's family. But the Bash was relocated because many of Andrew's extended family had to cancel due to illness. Even though there were a lot of people missing this year, we had a great time visiting family.
During the talent show, Andrew, Peter, Evan, and Paul played a few songs. I met Andrew about eight years ago, and we've been married for four and a half years. This was the first time I had ever heard Andrew play his trombone. He insists he's played it a few times since we've been married, but he must have done it when I was out.
Watching the kids do their "talents" is always fun too:
1) Being wrapped up in toilet paper like a mummy.
2) Picking the most coins off the floor with a paper bag on their heads.
3) And emptying a tissue box the fastest.
4) The adults had a competition to see who could eat a cookie off of their forehead without using their hands. Andrew won.
After a few other performances, we managed to get a quick snapshot of the girl cousins in their matching outfits. Notice Leah scratching her itchy eczema flare up. Fortunately, it's cleared up a lot since we've gotten home.
