Grandma's House

Before we went to Illinois, we counted down the days until we could go to "Grandma's House" and talked about how we had to get on an airplane. Dora has made Leah excited about three-step plans like, "First we fly on an airplane. Then we ride in Grandpa's car. And then we get to Grandma's House." With six cousins to play with, Grandma's House was every bit as exciting as we had built it up to be. We spent a lot of time going to parks, shopping, playing around the house, reading, and matching outfits. Here are just a few pictures of our week-long visit.

"London Bridge is Falling Down" was a big hit. All of the kids wanted to get "caught."

Clothes matched just a little too often for it to be a plausible coincidence.

Most of these clothes were on sale, so they practically saved money.

Prairie Farms is a petting zoo. The kids enjoyed seeing the animals, but Leah was most excited about the "troll bridge" (another Dora reference).

The older kids raced up and down Champaign's one and only hill at Centennial Park. The hill is artificial, but you take what you get.

Whenever the cousins are together in Champaign, they get their picture taken at this unique tree.
