Illinois
Leah and I packed up and went to Illinois all by ourselves, thanks to some frequent flier miles that Andrew's parents gave us.
Andrew stayed home for work. I have to say, I think he enjoyed having a quiet home for a little while. On the first night back - while gazing at the crumbs on the floor from Leah's dinner - Andrew commented that she made more of a mess in one hour than he had made in a week. Andrew was busy while we were gone. He went to work, babysat for a friend, fixed the car, went to the ward fall activity, went to a movie all by himself (a movie he knew I didn't want to see), went on a 60 mile bike ride, and kept the apartment in order.
We visited great-grandpa Rupert and Mary Kay, where she competed with Stewart for the newspaper inserts.
We went to a reindeer ranch. Reindeer are so cute! They're smaller than I thought they would be, but they were very friendly animals.
The reindeer ranch even had a little play yard.
And Leah loved borrowing Stewart's iPad. I love the sneezing picture.
We also watched movies, shopped at the outlet mall, went to a pumpkin patch, played with a plethora of toys from Nancy's stash, went to church, ate good food, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. Leah loves playing with her grandparents. It was a nice little trip.
