Leah's Quotes, Part 2
After falling off of her "Benny the Bull" bouncing toy, Leah carried it to the other room while saying "Time out, Benny the Bull. Being mean."
Other times when she falls off of Benny, she says "Are you okay, baby?" She's also said this to Karen a few times, with an accompanying hug.
A few words that aren't pronounced correctly yet:
mogurt: yogurt
holding bars: handlebars
Leah has a book called, "Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too?" which poses this question for a variety of mammals and birds along with the answer (e.g., "Yes, a kangaroo has a mother, just like me and you"). In the car, we played a little quiz game where we asked this question for a bunch of animals and objects, such as a rabbit, a car, a sock, a donkey, etc. When it was Leah's turn, we couldn't always understand what she was trying to say, so we had to ask her to repeat herself: "What? A shirt?" After a couple of rounds of this, Leah got frustrated with us not understanding her and sternly told us, "Don't say 'what'."
After letting Andrew out of the car to pick up a Red Box movie:
Leah: "I want to go home."
Karen: "We'll go home soon. But Dad's not in the car. We have to wait for him. I like Dad, so I want him to come home with us."
Leah: "I don't like Dad! I want to go home!"
Andrew: "Leah, you make me tired."
Leah: "Yeah! I do make you tired! Sleepy, sleepy boy."
Leah: "When I big, I can drive car! When Dad get little, Dad can sit in car seat!"
Leah: "Dad, I want it snow more."
Andrew: "Leah, I can't control the weather."
Leah: "Mom, you control the weather, please."
Leah was sick with a low-grade fever. She woke up from coughing.
Leah: "I'm cold." (sad and whiny tone)
Karen: "Where's your blanket? That will help you keep warm."
Leah: "NO! Mima (the stuffed bear, not her cousin) needs my blanket!"
Leah: "Shaking helps me poop."
After Andrew explained the words "son" and "daughter."
Leah: "Dad, you good talker."
Leah had a stomach bug that kept her throwing up all night. It left memories of vomit. For about two weeks afterward, she randomly said things like: "No throw up on the floor." and "I not throw up!" She was really excited that she wasn't sick anymore. It really freaked Linda out when she babysat.
Leah loves when Andrew comes home. She also loves the Nook. He took it to work with him one day, and she missed him and it all day. When he came home holding it, she exclaimed, "Hey Dad! You bring the Nook back to us!" It was funny because she had a small pause between sentences. At first she was more excited to see Andrew. But then she was more excited to see the Nook.
