Goodbye Utah, Hello Pennsylvania
Things I'll miss about Provo:
- Linda and Tyler, and baby Braxton.
- Peter, Andrea, Brita, Benton, Mima, and Irene are here. Leah is going to be so heartbroken after we move and she realizes she won't see her cousins as often.
- Being able to drive to California and Arizona.
- Church being half a block away. That's seriously convenient.
- Provo Rec Center. It's amazing.
- The neighbors. We've been here long enough to know many people in our neighborhood rather well.
- Splash pad down the street.
- Provo Canyon. And every other canyon around here, for that matter.
- Dry heat. I do not look forward to living in a humid environment.
- I'm going to miss feeling familiar with my environment, particularly for navigation.
And there are a few things about Pittsburgh that are exciting:
- Close enough to visit places I've never had the chance to visit. I've been to New York City, but that's it for this part of the country. Niagara Falls and Washington DC are particularly exciting for me. A lot of places are within driving distance.
- Pittsburgh has a lot of fun things to do.
- We'll be within driving distance of Andrew's parents and Evan/Lisa.
- Larger home. We are definitely ready for an upgrade in our living arrangement.
And a few things that make me nervous:
- I look forward to having a yard so Leah can play outside. But there is nothing about yard work that sounds fun to me.
- Oh cold temperatures and snow, how I hate you. And I always will, no matter how fun it is to go sledding one day a year. It's going to be so cold. And that means I'll get whiny. True story.
- What bugs are in Pittsburgh? I have no idea. I hope the mosquitoes aren't too bad during the summer.
Don't worry, I know you'll miss me too ;)
