Homeless Christmas

And carless, I should add. (See Bad Luck post for car details.)
I think it's safe to say Christmas '13 was memorable.
I had hoped we would be able to drive to Illinois for Christmas. But we needed to do paperwork for the house on Christmas Eve so it just wasn't going to happen. It worked out for the best, given that our car broke down the night before Christmas Eve. If we had hit the road, we would have been stranded. And everyone in Illinois ended up with a nasty flu. So we dodged two bullets. With that in mind, Christmas in a hotel wasn't so bad.
But we had a great time. We opened presents in the morning. Played with our new toys. And went to dinner with a family in the new ward, who were kind enough to give us rides there and back.
Her favorite new toys have been her train set, the wooden pizza, her large doll, and the little Cinderella doll.
