One More Makes Four

Sometime around November 20th, this family of three is going to become a family of four!

I had an early ultrasound to establish my due date. These pictures show the fetus at eight weeks. At my next appointment, I should be able to set up an appointment for the next ultrasound that'll tell us the sex of the baby.
I had about two weeks of morning sickness. No vomiting, thankfully. But nausea alone can feel pretty bad; it was pretty bad for three days, but mild the rest of the time. There were a few moments when I almost hoped I'd throw up, if it would alleviate the nausea. A few grocery shopping trips had to end very quickly because the smells were just too much for me: the meat section, people who smelled like cigarettes, etc. I'm just glad my body doesn't seem to react as severely as many other pregnant ladies out there. I've had a few headaches, which isn't a typical problem for me. I've read that increased blood volume can be the culprit. I've also had a few days where I felt exhausted and just wanted to nap all day, even though I had a full nights rest the night before. But that phase has passed also. Now I am trying to remember to take my vitamins and trying to keep a decent work out schedule for as long as I can.

We haven't told Leah yet, but we will soon. She's going to be ecstatic when we tell her. She's seen the ultrasound, but she's oblivious to the implications. Waiting is really hard for her. We figure that the less time she knows, the less she will wait. And the less I'll be asked when this baby is going to come.
