July recap

I'm pretty sure the only exciting thing that happened in July was Brenda's visit. Andrew left work early to go to the Natural History Museum with us. It doesn't matter how many times we go; Leah is still always thrilled to go again. She's not as obsessed with dinosaurs as some kids, but she's a big fan.
Leah still plays with the rocks they collected at Soergel's Farm.
We went to the zoo one day. It was nicer than I expected it to be. On average, the enclosures really seemed to try to give the animals a good environment. The aquarium was larger than I expected too. While we were there, the kids climbed a fake termite nest. And Leah and Tyler rode on a kiddie ride. There was also a little area where kids could climb and go down some slides. They sure got a lot of exercise that day.
We went to the Science Center too, but I didn't take any pictures. It had been a long time (a year and a half?) since we had seen them, so I'm glad Brenda could squeeze us into her busy schedule.
