Leah's Quotes, Part 4
"I'm going to do it. On my marks, get set, go!"
"This one is the biggest. This one is the mediumest. This one is the smallest." (Respectively referring to Simon, Alvin, and Theodore)
"I need to pee! I'm dancing like that."
To solve the problem of both Karen and Leah needing to use the restroom at the same time:
"I can sit this way, and you can sit that way."
Ummm...no thanks.
Leah told her primary teacher that we were going to have a new baby. When I wasn't pregnant.
Speaking of Professor McGonogall,
Leah: "So when she turns into a cat, what happens to her shirt and pants?"
Andrew: "I don't know. Maybe they turn into the cat's fur."
Leah: "Or maybe it's a cat with clothes," followed by uncontrollable laughter.
"Dad, do the clouds start raining because they squeeze?"
Good guess, but no.
After getting her head stuck between the rails in the footboard of her bed: "I don't like beds with holes."
Pointing at Karen's breasts, Leah says: "Your belly's too big."
After seeing a picture of a woman breastfeeding: "So the milk for the baby comes out of the mom's belly button?"
At least her confusion is consistent.
"Food goes in your mouth, through your neck, into your belly, and out your pee entrance and your poop entrance."
Read it again. It's just as funny the second time.
Playing with facecards: "Ace of gems."
Karen: "Leah, why are you licking your knee?"
Leah: "It's mine. I get to pick."
True, but that doesn't answer the question.
Leah: "When is naked day?"
Karen: "Naked day? What is naked day?"
Leah: "The day when everyone in Pittsburgh walks around naked. When is it?"
I want to know where she got the idea of naked day. Pittsburgh is too cold for such shenanigans, if you ask me.
Leah's suggestions for naming her baby brother:
Rosie (from a library book)
John Luke (from a friend's baby brother)
Margaret (from Daniel Tiger's baby sister)
Leah: "I don't want to have a funeral when I die."
Andrew: "Why not?"
Leah: "Because I don't want people to take all my things."
In response to overhearing arguments/disagreements, Leah shouts "Stop agreeing!"
[Opening up the kid website Starfall.]
Leah: I'll show you how I do it.
[Leah slowly pecks out S, then, T, and then R in the address bar.]
Andrew: Leah, there's supposed to be an A before the R.
Leah: No. I'm showing you how I do it.
Andrew: But "Starfall" has an A in it.
Leah: No. I'm showing you how I do it.
Andrew: Okay, whatever.
[Leah continues to enter F, then O, and then L.]
Leah: Which one do you press to make it go?
[Andrew points at the enter key. Leah presses it, and Google loads with "Showing results for starfall. Search instead for strfol."]
Andrew: Wow.
Leah: And then I keep on clicking until I get to Starfall.
[Leah clicks on a logo, which goes to a Google Image Result. Then she clicks on the logo there, which goes to an elementary school's links page. Then she clicks on the logo on the links page and finally ends up on Starfall.]
Leah: See? That's how I do it.
Leah: Look at these new shoes. They're "tenna."
Leah was speaking to Linda and refered to Tyler as "your husband."
Linda: "Do you know what my husband's name is?"
Leah: "No."
Linda: "His name is Tyler."
Leah: "Tyler is a kid's name!" (laughing)
Linda: "Because you have a cousin Tyler?"
Leah: "Yeah."
Linda: "You also have an uncle Tyler."
